died on the 13th October 1848, aged 29 years
who fell victims to the yellow fever
at Brabados
This monument is erected as a token of esteem and deep regret
by their brother officers of
the 72nd (Duke of Albany's Own Highlanders) Regiment
Their mortal remains are interred
in the graveyard of this Chapel
