CHARLOTTE LAW
and to those endeared ties which
united her to her only sister
MARY ELIZABETH MONTEFIORE
with the hope through redeeming mercy
of their reunion in life eternal.
She departed this life
on the 19th December 1840
at the age of 24
Sorrow not even as oythers which have no hope
1 Thess. 4.13.
Thou art gone to the grave, but I must not deplore thee
whose God was thy ransome, thy guardian, thy guide:
He gave thee, He took thee, and He will restore thee.
Ah! Death has no sting, for the Saviour hath died


Here rest also

of this parish
The first departed this life on the 17th
October 1825, at the age of 10 months.
The second on the 8th October 1829
at the age of 17 months
The third on the 23rd June 1833
at the age of 5 weeks
Suffer little children to come unto me, for of
such is the Kingdom of God. Luke.18.16
"Then far be grief! Faith looks beyond the tomb
and Heaven's bright portals sparkle thro' the gloom"


Also here rests
in hope of a joyful resurrection, the mortal part
of the aforesaid
JOHN MONTEFIORE
who departed this life on the 26th day of June 1854
aged 60 years
